Computer Disposal News

What you don’t know about Computer Disposal

Computer DisposalComputer disposal across the USA is becoming an extremely embarrassing subject; we hear one report after another about dumping our e-waste in the Third World. You’ve probably already seen these reports on TV:

http://www.cbsnews.com/

http://www.dailymotion.com/

Do you even care? You need to, only a fraction of the US e-waste ends up offshore, that means the rest of this e-waste junk is in your backyard. The US Government is rapidly outlawing the dumping of E-waste such as computers. You have to ask the question why? The answer is simple, if you throw your old PC into the trash it can end up in a landfill site. You might think “who cares the landfill site is miles away and protected somehow from leaks”. Wrong! Land pollution can affect the water tables, which effect farming produce, which means you could end up digesting the toxins in your computers. Lead, which is just one toxic, can cause brain damage, the Government knows this. If you need more proof just look at the below list of e-waste laws introduced to States since 2003. If you want to do your bit, you can simply allow us to dispose of your computers for you. Contact us today!
